This weekend will mark the final matches for all of our Collies Miniroos (U8s-U11s). As you can understand this season has come with many changes and challenges along the way and we appreciate your flexibility and support as we all work to deliver a season of football for our kids.
With that in mind, the Club Committee have decided on the format of Miniroos presentations for 2020.
With the shortened season and the school holidays taking place over the next two weeks, our club presentations will align with the BDF Gala Day being held this Saturday. We assume most players and coaches will be present for the last match, and our plan is to make this event as special as possible for them. It also seems likely that a combined club presentation for all Miniroos would not be possible under current COVID -19 restrictions.
Therefore, we will be holding our Miniroos presentations this Saturday 26th September. We will be setting up our brand-new marquee in the centre of Police Paddock (you won’t miss it) and we will have a representative from the club on hand and ready with both the BDF medallions and our club’s trophies (and a sweet treat) for each player.
After your match, we ask coaches, managers, players and parents to head over to the Marquee, where the team coach might address the team and parents as a group, and present the trophies and medallions to the players. After the players are presented with their awards, our club representative will take a team photo.
We will also be using this event to collect all training equipment and club kits from each team, including playing jerseys. After each team presentation, we would ask that players either change out of their jersey or wear a shirt underneath, so that we can collect these at the marquee.
We apologise for this late announcement and thank you in advance for your understanding. It might be a chilly day, but hopefully we can finish of the season and celebrate our kids football as best we can!
